The short version: your patterns stay private to you. Your friends see only the progress you choose to share. We don't sell your data, show ads or use tracking. You can download or delete everything at any time.

We remove location data from photos when you upload them.
Who can see what
- Only you: pattern files, pattern text, charts, markup, private notes, row and stitch counts.
- Members of your Loops and KALs: your display name, profile photo, pattern name and designer, current section and % complete, and the posts and photos you choose to share with them.
- Nobody else. Loops are private and join by invite link only.
Services we use
We use a small number of providers to run ktog. They process data only on our instructions, under data processing agreements: [hosting provider] (servers and storage, EU region), [email provider] (account emails), [error monitoring provider] (crash reports). Where a provider is outside the EU, we use safeguards approved under GDPR, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
We don't sell your data, share it with advertisers or use it to train AI.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while you have an account. When you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep something longer (for example, records of reports we've handled). Backups are overwritten within [number] days.
Your rights
You can access, correct, download or delete your data, object to or restrict how we use it, and move it elsewhere. Most of this you can do yourself in Settings → Your data. For anything else, email hello@ktog.app and we'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet) or the data protection authority where you live.
Children
ktog is for people aged 13 and over. If we learn that someone under 13 has an account, we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
